Massage, I believe, helps bring us back to ourselves. It increases our awareness of how we are physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. It shows us where muscles are sore, where we hold tension and how we can release the stress we hold in our bodies.
Because of my own experiences receiving massage, I’ve had a long-term interest in the healing power massage. In the 1990’s I had a small private practice in Colorado which focused primarily on working with people recovering from trauma. After moving back to Florida in the early 2000’s, I worked in the corporate world for several years and recently decided to follow my heart and became a Florida Licensed Massage Therapist.
My work focuses foremost on providing a calming, caring environment allowing my clients to relax and experience a nurturing touch. Depending on your needs, the massage may include skills from different modalities including:
